Next Employee Assembly Meeting

The Division of Human Resources, in partnership with Employee Assembly, is working to address four university-wide issues that emerged in the employee survey: workload/workload balance, career development/growth, supervisor feedback opportunities, and increasing recognition of excellent work.
An oversight committee was formed that created subcommittees on each of the four issues. The subcommittees have been staffed with employees from across the Cornell community and at least one representative from the Employee Assembly.
Human resources and these subcommittees have been hard at work implementing the recommendations they delivered in May of 2013. The recommendations were vetted by employees in several open forums conducted by the Employee Assembly earlier in the year.
These action steps along with progress toward each of the four university-wide initiatives are updated on this website. You can share your feedback directly by emailing the following committee leads: workload/workload imbalance, career development/growth, supervisor feedback opportunities, and increasing recognition of excellent work.
The results of the survey are also being discussed at the college and unit level. Each dean, vice president and vice provost spent time with staff in their colleges/units to understand their individual data and to determine action steps.
