Cornell Retirees Association (CRA)

All Cornell employees automatically become members of the Cornell Retirees Association (CRA) upon retirement. CRA is a networking and service group which holds several luncheons each year and distributes a newsletter. Membership is voluntary and there are no annual dues; however, luncheon fees apply. Retirees and their spouses/partners are encouraged to participate.

CRA Spring Luncheon

Thudrsday, April 10, 2014, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch served at noon, speaker at 1:00 p.m.

Ramada Inn, 2310 N. Triphammer Road, Ithaca (Near Tops Market)

Please join us for the Cornell Retirees Association's Spring Luncheon. Dr. David Robertshaw, Professor Emeritus, Biomedical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, will share some of his experiences in establishing a branch campus of the Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar in 2001.

Our Luncheon Menu includes a choice of:

  • Penne Pasta with Broccoli and Grilled Chicken in Alfredo Sauce OR
  • Gluten-Free Penne Pasta with Broccoli in Marinara Sauce (Gluten-Free/Vegetarian Option)

Both meals come with garden salad, rolls and butter, coffe/tea, and dessert.

Please register using the form at the end of the Winter 2014 Newsletter.

Volunteer opportunities for retirees are available in two programs: Cornell Retirees Volunteering in Schools (CRVIS) and Cornell Jack Lewis Visitors (short, friendly visits to area nursing homes). Volunteers are welcome throughout the year. Consider volunteering for one or both of these valuable services to the community.

Share Your Story
Attention Cornell Retirees: Current Cornell employees wondering “what’s next?” would love to hear from you. If you’re doing something in retirement that makes you happy – a volunteer commitment; a special hobby; new employment or self-employment; study; travel; or some combination of the above, and would be willing to share your story to help inspire retirees-to-be, please take a few minutes to complete this questionnaire.

We hope to bring together a panel of retirees to share their stories at an on-campus lunchtime workshop this spring. We’d also like to include profiles of how Cornell retirees are spending the next chapters of their lives on several of our websites.
